Music occupies a lot of time and space at the Nancy Street Network Centre.
A custom built bookshelf in the computer room holds about 450 compact discs
mixed with some MP3 compilations, and the remaining lower shelf space is jammed
with hundreds of computer CDs. Bookshelves in the lounge room hold the vinyl
collection of LPs, EPs and 78s. The LP records end-to-end would be about 4.7
metres in length. The server acts as a juke box and holds about 11000
MP3 files occupying 36GB of disk space. Use the

The following links are to experimental "dynamic" web pages that interrogate the Nancy Street music database. The Quick Search facility is a simple facility wth a single page that searches for text anywhere in the database. Muse is an experimental web application that browses the contents of the music database in a more sophisticated way (see the Muse technical notes on the home page).
