The Nancy Street Centre for Supidcomputing Applications lies in the south east suburbs of Melbourne Australia. A hand-held GPS put the coordinates at 37° 58' 23'' S 145° 04' 42'' E - elevation 21 meters. The mouse pointer in Goole Earth gives the corrdinates of the Nancy Street computer room as 37° 58' 22.66" S 145° 04' 41.21" E.
NOTE - Following the release of Google Earth, most of the pictures and crude zoom animations below are redundant. Using the Google Earth viewer you can see most of the colonised planet from different orientations, angles and distances via a montage of satellite and aerial photography. If you navigate to "27 Nancy Street, Cheltenham, Australia" or use the coordinates above, you should hit the following house roof. You can see the large gum trees at the rear (left) and front of the house. The white spot on the roof is the air-conditioner and the grey area around it is the roof extension with unpainted tiles.

The following illustration shows how you can easily locate Nancy Street by following familiar landmarks.

If you have a slow connection, please be patient while the large
animated images load. The old zoom is poorer quality, but
it was put back here by popular request because a lot of
people seem to think it has a funnier ending.
If you've got a fast Internet connection and you're running your monitor in very
high resolution mode, then you may consider clicking on the image below to
pop-up a huge 1173x1365 (405KB) image of a satellite photo of Melbourne.
Nancy Street is pointed out near the centre of the picture.
