On Sunday 25-Oct-2009 we enjoyed a specialised "IT Systems" tour of the Australian Synchrotron on their annual open day. Thanks to Wes for contacting me and explaining when to get in early and book the special tour as soon as the event became available. And more thanks to Was for taking us into the staff cafeteria to rest our aching backs and feet after 2 hours of touring. We were absolutely amazed by the size and complexity of this technological marvel which sits quietly in the suburbs of our own town, and sadly, too few people know it's there. I'll add explanations to the photos when I get more hobby time. In the meantime I've dumped my photos below for a preview.
