Photos from Saturday afternoon on the 28th of October 2006. The photos are presented in time sequence. The initial photos are taken from a scenic flight on the DA-40 Diamond Star light aircraft. The latter photos were taken after the scenic flight when friends gathered at the Aero Club restaurant at Moorabbin Airport (aka The Harry Hawker Airport). Click the links to display enlargements in a pop-up window. The Medium sized images are 600x450 and the Large are 1024x768. Pictures of the DA-40 on the ground can be seen on John's 60th Birthday gallery page.

Just after take-off. Somewhere maybe around Mordialloc on the way south, looking out over Port Phillip Bay.

Not quite sure where this is. Perhaps looking towards the Patterson Lakes area (I'll know when we identify the golf course on the street directory).

Not sure where this is either. Perhaps on the way towards Frankston. This will also require a street directory look-up.

Heading over Mt. Martha. The inlet on the middle left is the development project that will become the tacky new Martha Inlet, complete with high-rise buildings (our own mini Gold Coast).

Looking back along the Peninsular over the commonwealth land to Portsea. Part of the area is a national park and a large part is off limits due to unexploded ordinance of WWII vintage.
