Technical Notes
- This demonstration was created using Silverlight 3.
Sliverlight is a new Microsoft technology that can be used to create rich interactive web applications.
- Silverlight is capable of creating stunning visual effects and animations, but to keep the demonstration more realistic
I tried to avoid any effects that might be too distracting.
- The ComboBox (drop down list) control was not available when I created this demo
in Sivlerlight 2 and I haven't had time to add one in Silverlight 3, so in the
meantime you can pick the font and the 'standard sizes' from lists. The font
selection simply uses a button to cycle through a set of standard fonts.
- The size text boxes are display only at the moment, you can only change the size with the sliders or standard size list.
- No colour picker is available yet for the background colour.
- There is no smart cursor or focus movement yet.
- There are no tool tips yet.
- The large view buttons on the left are supposed to be push buttons with a simple flat appearance so they appear raised and depressed,
but I need more time to create a complete set of styles to create that effect. They are supposed to have this more traditional look (with more pleasant colours):
