Overview

The optlib library has been removed. The code was very old and the library functionality has been replaced by countless other "options" liraries that are freely available on the Internet. One high-profile replacement is the Microsoft Application Blocks library which contains a Configuration Application Block.

I personally find the Application Blocks too heavy-handed for small projects where I simply want to save and load simple properties like window positions, colours and preferences, etc. All of my own projects have had the optlib removed and I now the base class XmlOptionBase which provides simple methods the save and load a class of "options" from an xml format file.
